우크라이나에서 벌어지고 있는 비극과 관련하여 국제 합기도연맹(IAF) 이사회는 다음과 같은 메시지를 보내왔다.
친애하는 회원 여러분
국제합기도연맹은 우크라이나와 우크라이나 국민을 전폭 지지하며 난국을 헤쳐나가는 우크라이나 회원들을 헌신적으로 지원하기 위한 결의를 다지고 있습니다. 우리는 우크라이나에서 벌어지고 있는 폭력과 인명 살상의 무시무시한 사건들로 심한 충격에 빠져 있습니다.
IAF는 평화의 무도인 합기도를 실천하며 어떠한 종류의 폭력과 침략도 용인할 수 없습니다. 지금이 바로 우리의 원칙을 실천에 옮겨야 할 시기라고 생각합니다.
따라서 우리는 회원들에게 도장의 문을 과감하게 열어 우크라이나 난민들에게 무료로 훈련에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 제공하기를 강력히 권장합니다. 우크라이나 난민들에게 평화와 더불어 편안하게 느끼도록 배려하는 행위가 무엇보다도 중요하며 우리도 이러한 배려로부터 많은 것을 배울 수 있으리라 굳게 믿는 바입니다.
우리는 우크라이나에서 벌어지고 있는 전례없는 참극의 희생자들을 지원하기 위한 모든 노력에 자부심을 느끼며, 우리가 할 수 있는 모든 방면에서 난민들의 삶을 더욱 풍요롭게 만들기 위한 실천에 적극적으로 참여하기를 희망합니다.

Dear Members,
The International Aikido Federation stands with Ukraine and its people and is committed to supporting its Ukrainian members through this difficult time. We are horrified by the shocking events unfolding in this country, by violence and loss of life.
IAF practices Aikido which is the art of peace and therefore condemns any kind of aggression. It is time to put our principles into practice.
Therefore we strongly encourage our members to open their dojos and to offer the Ukrainian refugees possibility to join trainings free of charge. Giving them peace and home-like feeling is of utmost importance and we deeply believe that we can all benefit from that.
We are very proud of all efforts to support victims of this unparalleled horror and want to be a part of the effort to make their life better in every aspect we can.
